Requirements for the package of large diameter spiral steel pipe

The transportation of large diameter spiral steel pipe is a difficult problem in delivery. In order to prevent the damage to the steel pipe during transportation, it is necessary to pack the steel pipe.

1. If the buyer has special requirements for the packing materials and packing methods of spiral steel pipe, it shall be indicated in the contract; If it is not indicated, the packing materials and packing methods shall be selected by the supplier.

2. Packing materials shall comply with relevant regulations. If no packing material is required, it shall meet the intended purpose to avoid waste and environmental pollution.

3. If the customer requires that the spiral steel pipe shall not have bumps and other damages on the surface, the protective device can be considered between the spiral steel pipes. The protective device can use rubber, straw rope, fiber cloth, plastic, pipe cap, etc.

4. If the wall thickness of spiral steel pipe is too thin, the measures of support in the pipe or frame protection outside the pipe can be adopted. The material of support and outer frame shall be the same as that of spiral steel pipe.

5. The state stipulates that the spiral steel pipe shall be in bulk. If the customer requires baling, it can be considered as appropriate, but the caliber must be between 159mm and 500mm. The bundling shall be packed and fastened with steel belt, each course shall be screwed into at least two strands, and shall be appropriately increased according to the outer diameter and weight of the spiral steel pipe to prevent looseness.

6. If there are threads at both ends of spiral steel pipe, it shall be protected by thread protector. Apply lubricating oil or rust inhibitor to the threads. If spiral steel pipe with bevel at both ends, the bevel ends protector shall be added according to requirements.

7. When the spiral steel pipe is loaded into the container, soft moisture-proof devices such as textile cloth and straw mat shall be paved in the container. In order to disperse the textile spiral steel pipe in the container, it can be bundled or welded with protective support outside the spiral steel pipe.
